So beautiful it seems
Beyond my patio-
An area of conservation-
nature preserved.
A concept becoming sparse
with the domination of technology-
a trend of these times.
Conservation land;
where creatures scurry
to hide from mankind-
who do not care for creatures non-human,
who chop down trees and leave nothing but rotting stumps
Who are the bane of the wilderness in all its beauty
and all its charm
Mankind cannot appreciate such things.
