All is darkness just before dawn,
With maudlin shadows and light so forlorn,
The first rays break through so wan and so pale,
But with promise to come – as the day does unveil.
The horizon explodes in a line of deep hue,
Colours emblazoned flames that renew,
With slowness of speed but indomitable length,
The long line of light gathers its strength.
With a rising of Orange that naught will hold back,
The magnificent Sun warms all in its track,
This fiery ball that gives to us life,
Is married to all just like Husband and Wife.
With Yellows and Orange it begins its ascent,
From the depths of the bowels Heaven’s way it is sent,
Nothing can lessen such a beautiful sight,
The majestic Sun rising in glory and might.
