A girl child is a boon
to a household,
who shines as brightly as moon
and acts accordingly, as told.
But some parents strongly follow
a girl child is a curse,
who brings only sorrow,
and cannot earn money to fill their purse.
when it comes to bidding
goodbye, when she starts a new life,
she leaves a trail of her past kidding
and tries to fulfill her role of a good wife.
But, she was destined
to a family in which
she got no affection, but sustained
all the treatment given to her with a hitch.
The whole world is conquered by her
but in every sphere of education
she is treated like a stranger
and leads a life of only persuation.
