A Dream on Mother's Day Amy J Richardson

I
dreamt of a beautiful woman, She was clothed in silken white, And
shimmering all around her, Was a gentle love - filled light. Her eyes
were kind and twinkled blue, Her hair like golden skies, Her beauty
overwhelmed me, I could not withdraw my eyes, She then held out her
loving hand, I was unsure of what to do, Then I looked into her eyes,
and saw, Her inner beauty shining through. I stepped a little forward,
And put my hand into her palm, I felt I had found my inner peace, I
was filled with warmth and calm. I knew I loved this woman, And that she
loved me the same, But I didn’t recognise her, And I didn’t know her
name. She stood in all her light and glory, With a beauty I couldn’t
believe, Then the light began to fade away, And the dream began to
leave. I was laid upon my bed once more, Then I realised that I knew,
Who the beautiful woman was - I had dreamed of you. | |
