...And I Had Never Felt So Free... Melanie Bartelt

The tired sun has settled
beyond The Earth’s darkened edges, Having painted its forget-me-not along
the horizon To announce the arrival of yet another night. Today though,
the golden glory captured me With its unique magnificence and I applauded
nature As I sat watching the sinking sun bow to dusk And day bow to
night. Somehow, sometimes certain things seem more beautiful When you let
the moment, Take its hold on each and every one of your senses. Your eyes
drink in the sight, Your ears become attuned to Nature’s symphony, Your
nostrils breathe in the sweet scents of flowers and grass, Your skin is more
sensitive to each little caress And your mouth holds the sweet taste of
freedom. Today nature cast its magic spell upon me
…And I had never
felt so free…
